We took advantage of the great weather at the end of June to try out a short coastal trip in our new St Ives Punt. This sailing version of the row boat currently on our website is in line with the wooden original which carried a small lug sail. Obviously we have updated the rig to give the boat improved performance with a boom and brand new sail cut. We are very pleased with the results as you can see performing well in a variety of conditions.
Just over the Deben Bar with light following wind. Heading down the coast to the River Ore entrance.
Starting to experience more chop heading towards the entrance to the Ore.
Following some withies up to Iken.
At anchor next to the beach at Iken.
Another great adventure in the sunshine exploring our local rivers. New boat performs very well under sail, a very successful day topped off with a superb sunset!
